Wax Talks Being A European One Hit Wonder, Hiding Porn In The Woods, and Performs “Bad Company” Live In Studio
Wax is a good rapper, good conversationalist, and all around good guy. Beacause of that we could’ve bullshitted for another couple hours on tape, but it was too damn hot in the studio. Listen to us talk about Rosana becoming a huge hit in Europe. We also discuss how being good at too many things can be a problem. Hear about the good ol’ days of hiding porn in the woods.
Dude. You’re a great interviewer. I listen to wax’s podcast and you got him to reveal a bunch of new stuff about himself. I definitely sensed some James Lipton qualities from you. So you should def grow a very thin, well-manicured beard haha. I didn’t actually laugh but the internet can’t reflect the tone of a joke. Anyhow, very educational talk for another music person. Good luck with the podcast. I can see you doing very well.
P.s. i got the first math problem wrong. it was __+2=2 and i put 2. Probably why i should stick to music.
Really great podcast – loved every second of it! I’m so glad Wax mentioned Luxembourg although I don’t really see “Rosana” getting any exposure here, but in Germany it is getting real big! I’ve seen it on some commercials on German TV already and I was so happy to see you’re getting bigger and bigger! Much respect.
Intuition, love your work too! much love.
It’s funny how the state television & radio company (Yle) in Finland is hyping up Wax because he has German Warner behind him. They call him one-hit-wonder and you get the feel they’re only doing it because the record company says so.
yo burying playboys and shit in the woods was a national move apparently. i thought myself and my homies were the only ones to find something like that buried in the woods and then bury it to return to at a later time. great interviews. keep them up
This interview, or really just a bro-on-bro lovefest, was great to listen to. I have to say, I share some of the same experiences that you guys brought up, from frolicking in the woods, to being influenced by the music – some “cool”, some not – that my parents kept pumping through the speakers. Wax’s mention of his mom’s love for musicals came to mind when I came across this article: https://medium.com/beats-rhymes/5ce675c0ca3
Classical music is classic for a reason, and our past shapes our present and influences the future we choose to create. I hadn’t heard from Wax in a while (I haven’t been looking, honestly) and this banter really hit the nostalgic nerve. Props Lee.
great way to spend my morning listening to you and Wax hangout and talk about music and life. Stumbled on this a few days ago and bookmarked it. Thanks for the in depth, unique and down to earth interview. getting to know the artists behind the music is a real treat.and especially thanks for the music!
best summer in years up here in Homer.
